Joint exercises titled "Wings of Defense" have begun in Denmark, involving Ukrainian specialists alongside Danish counterparts focused on countering strike drones. This has been reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian military personnel have arrived in Denmark to assist their partners in light of the recent sightings of unidentified drones in the country’s airspace.
Over the course of the week-long exercises, participants will engage in practical tasks, share knowledge and experiences, enhancing their preparedness and improving capabilities to counter aerial threats.
“These exercises are a significant step in strengthening the interoperability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Denmark, making our nations stronger in our shared pursuit of peace and security in Europe,” the statement reads.
It is worth noting that on Sunday, September 28, two F-35 fighter jets were scrambled in Denmark due to multiple reports of unidentified drones. In Norway on the same day, a passenger flight from Oslo to Bardufoss had to change course because of an unidentified drone.
