A 51-year-old Ukrainian man was assaulted in Berlin after speaking Ukrainian.

Details: In the morning, the victim was walking his dog in a park in the Charlottenburg-Nord area.

According to the police: "He stated that he was giving commands to his dog in Ukrainian, after which two strangers asked about his nationality. When he responded that he was Ukrainian, one of the assailants stabbed him in the abdomen".

More information: After the attack, the perpetrators fled, and the police have launched an investigation.

The injured Ukrainian was taken to the hospital, and his life is not in danger, according to Berlin law enforcement.

Background: Last year, in Dortmund, a 15-year-old Ukrainian refugee was attacked with a knife while walking with two friends in the evening.
