Recently, Ukraine and the Netherlands signed an agreement focused on the protection of vital infrastructure.
This information was reported on the Dutch government portal, as noted by "European Truth".
The purpose of the document is to enhance structural cooperation between the two nations in safeguarding critical infrastructure.
The parties agreed to share knowledge and experience in areas such as threat detection, risk assessment, and resilience strategy development. The Netherlands will also offer support in the development of Ukrainian legislation in line with EU standards.
This memorandum logically follows the Security Cooperation Agreement signed by Ukraine and the Netherlands in March 2024.
"Critical infrastructure includes power plants, water supply systems, and other essential facilities. Ukraine has been under attack pressure for many years and serves as an example of resilience from which we can learn a lot," stated Dutch Minister of Justice and Security Dijk van Weel.
He emphasized that the Netherlands has substantial experience in this area, while also recognizing that Ukrainian approaches, such as redundancy and triple reservation of critical systems, are unique and exceptionally effective.
On May 8, it was reported that Romania and the Netherlands are establishing a joint training center for Ukrainian F-16 technical personnel.
The following day, it became known that the countries within the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), which includes the Netherlands, invited Ukraine to expand its partnership.
