New Opportunities for Ukrainians Abroad

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has announced that Ukrainians living abroad will continue to use their operator's tariffs without incurring extra fees for mobile communication and internet services in 27 EU countries, even after martial law concludes.

According to the statement from the Ministry, Parliament has passed bill No. 12150, which is the final legislative step needed to commence negotiations for the Roam like home (RLAH) policy.

This will enable Ukrainian and European operators to exchange services and collaborate more effectively. The NCEC regulator will gain the necessary authority to oversee network access and resolve disputes between operators, bringing Ukraine closer to full integration into the EU's Single Digital Market.

Once the law is signed by the President of Ukraine, the European Commission will assess the adopted laws, and then negotiations for joining the unified EU roaming zone will begin.

It is important to note that RLAH is a service that allows calls, SMS, and data transmission included in the packages of Ukrainian operators without additional charges. Meanwhile, residents of EU countries will also benefit from similar advantages while in Ukraine.
