Criticism of X Social Media for Censorship on Child Casualties

Georgiy Tikhiy, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed his outrage towards X social media, which labels posts about the deaths of children in Ukraine from Russian shelling as “shocking content”.

He emphasized that this is an attempt to obscure the crimes committed by Russia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that X social media is inadequately addressing serious human rights violations.

“Seriously, X? Since when has the death toll of Ukrainian children been considered 'shocking content'? This has nothing to do with user protection. It is merely an attempt to silence Russia's war crimes. It is disgraceful, and this decision should be revoked,” he posted.

Georgiy Tikhiy shared a screenshot showing that the social media platform had hidden a post containing statistical data about 616 Ukrainian children killed and 1869 injured since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
