Successful Defense Against Air Attacks: 116 Drones Destroyed

The Ukrainian air defense forces showcased exceptional effectiveness by destroying 116 enemy drones and intercepting several ballistic missiles of the "Iskander-M" type launched by Russian forces on the evening of February 8. This information was provided by the Ukrainian Armed Forces through Telegram.
The attacks commenced at 5:30 PM on Sunday, February 8, when the aggressors fired 11 ballistic missiles of the "Iskander-M" type from the Bryansk region and deployed 149 drones of the Shahed, "Herbera," "Italmas," and other types from directions including Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo (RF), temporarily occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiyiske (temporarily occupied Crimea), as well as around 90 Shahed-type drones.
Air force aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and drone units, along with mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces, actively repelled the aerial attack.
As of 9:30 AM on Monday, February 9, the air defense had recorded the destruction of 116 drones.
Additionally, some of the "Iskander-M" ballistic missiles were intercepted before reaching their targets.
The strikes from missiles and 23 drones were recorded at 15 locations, with debris falling at 6 locations.
The attack continues, with several enemy drones still in the airspace.
On the evening of February 8, air alerts were announced in several regions, including Kyiv, due to the threat of ballistic weapon use by the Russians.
