The air defense forces of Ukraine have downed 50 out of 80 drones launched in an attack on the country on the night of December 9-10. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
Starting from 6:00 PM on December 9, the aggressors attacked Ukraine with 80 strike UAVs, including Shahed types, launched from the directions of Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (Russia), and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea). Approximately 50 of these were Shahed drones.
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 9:00 AM on December 10, the air defense reported downing 50 drones in the southern and eastern parts of the country.
Hits from 29 strike UAVs were recorded at seven different locations.
The attack is ongoing, and several enemy drones remain in the airspace.
In the night of December 10, a Russian drone struck a civilian object in the Koryukivka district of Chernihiv region, causing a fire.
