The F-16 fighters in Ukraine have intercepted over 1300 aerial targets and destroyed more than 300 ground objectives. This was reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force on Telegram.
The F-16s first appeared in Ukrainian skies in August 2024, marking a historic moment for the nation and significantly enhancing the capabilities of the air force. Quickly mastering the new technology, Ukrainian pilots have turned these aircraft into effective tools against the aggressor.
By implementing their innovative tactics for conducting aerial combat, Ukrainian crews are achieving consistently high results in repelling enemy attacks. The F-16s alone have accounted for more than 1300 interceptions. For instance, during the Russian strike on November 19, F-16 pilots, in collaboration with Mirage-2000, intercepted and shot down at least 10 enemy cruise missiles.
In addition to air defense missions, these aircraft are actively used for ground support operations. F-16 pilots have struck over 300 ground targets, destroying hundreds of enemy vehicles, command posts, drone control centers, ammunition depots, and enemy logistics.
F-16 pilots and ground aviation personnel work under extremely challenging conditions every day. The primary concern for everyone now is the uninterrupted and timely supply of airstrike capabilities from Western partners. Without a sufficient quantity of bombs and missiles, the F-16s cannot help achieve victory, emphasized the Air Forces.
It is worth noting that air defense forces have neutralized 442 drones, 34 X-101 cruise missiles, and seven Kalibr missiles that Russia used to attack Ukraine since 6 PM on November 18.
