The air defense forces successfully neutralized 40 out of 62 Russian drones, with hits recorded at seven locations. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
According to the report, from 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 18, Russian forces launched 62 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, "Gerbera," and other types of drones from the directions of: Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk. About 40 of them are Shahed drones.
The air attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, EW units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 AM on Sunday, October 19, air defense downed/neutralized 40 drones in the north and east of the country.
Hits of 19 strike UAVs were recorded at 7 locations. The attack is ongoing, and several enemy drones remain in the airspace.
