The air defense forces successfully neutralized 137 out of 164 drones used by Russian troops in an attack on Ukraine that began on the evening of September 12.
This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
From 8:00 PM on Friday, September 12, the enemy launched an attack using the ballistic missile "Iskander-M/KN-23" along with 164 strike UAVs of the Shahed, "Gerbera" type, and other types from various directions: Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Milleryovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk. About 90 of these were Shahed drones. The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Preliminary data as of 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 13, indicates that the air defense successfully shot down or suppressed 137 UAVs of the Shahed, "Gerbera" and other types in the northern, southern, eastern, and central regions of Ukraine.
There were recorded hits of missiles and 27 strike UAVs at 9 locations, as well as debris from downed targets falling at three locations.
