The Ukrainian air defense forces have successfully neutralized 430 drones, 14 Caliber cruise missiles, and seven X-101 missiles.
This was reported through the official channels of the Ukrainian Air Force.
Starting from 4 PM on Tuesday, September 2, the enemy initiated a new wave of attacks on Ukraine, employing both drone strikes and air and sea-launched missiles.
In total, the radar troops of the Air Force detected 526 aerial threats:
- 502 strike drones of the Shahed type and imitator drones from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Oryol, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and Chayuda (temporarily occupied Crimea);
- 16 Caliber cruise missiles from the waters of the Black Sea;
- Eight X-101 cruise missiles from the airspace of Saratov region and Krasnodar Krai.
The aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces actively countered the air assault.
As of 9 AM on Wednesday, September 3, preliminary data indicates that the air defense has shot down/suppressed 451 aerial targets:
- 430 Shahed drones and imitator drones;
- 14 Caliber missiles;
- Seven X-101 missiles.
Three missile strikes and 69 strike drones have been recorded at 14 different locations, with debris from the downed targets also falling in 14 areas.
The Air Force warned that the attack continues, and there are still enemy drones in the airspace.
