Success in Melitopol ― an enemy ammunition depot and hostile forces have been destroyed, which were redeployed to the Zaporizhzhia direction.

On August 16, 2025, as a result of an operation by the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in temporarily occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, an enemy ammunition depot and Russian soldiers, redeployed by the aggressor state to the front, were destroyed. The explosion occurred as an enemy truck carrying personnel arrived at the occupiers' deployment point in the industrial area near Korvatsky Passage in Melitopol. At least six Russian invaders were eliminated, along with members of the UAV crew from the so-called Kadyrov battalion “akhmad-vostok”. The exact number of casualties among the Russian occupiers is currently being determined.

The explosion also ignited the ammunition depot, and secondary detonations were heard. Four ambulances were dispatched to the scene by the occupiers.

The GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reminds that justice will be served for every war crime.
