On the morning of August 9, Russian forces launched a drone attack on a bus in the suburbs of Kherson.
This information was shared by the Kherson Military Administration on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform.
"Around 8:00 AM, the enemy struck a minibus. A 66-year-old woman sustained serious injuries including a concussion and a fractured collarbone," the administration stated.
The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The Kherson Regional Administration reports six additional injuries.
"At approximately 08:00 near Kherson, Russian forces attacked the minibus. Currently, six people are known to have been affected. Two women, aged 66 and 75, and four men aged 23, 69, 83, and 61 were taken to hospitals," the administration noted.
The injured individuals suffered from various blast injuries and concussions, with at least two in serious condition.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reports two fatalities.
"According to the investigation, on August 9, 2025, around 08:30, Russian armed forces conducted a drone strike on the minibus traveling in the suburbs of Kherson," the report states.
It is noted that as a result of the attack, two civilians lost their lives. It is also known that six people sustained injuries of varying severity. The information is being clarified.
All the victims were inside the minibus at the time of the attack.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the commission of a war crime that resulted in loss of life (part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As reported by Ukrinform, within a day, Russian forces killed one resident of the Kherson region, and three others were injured.
