The Ukrainian armed forces successfully neutralized 45 out of 53 drones that were deployed by Russian forces to attack Ukraine on the evening of August 1.

Starting from 6:00 PM on Friday, August 1, the enemy launched an attack using 53 aerial targets: 45 strike drones of the Shahed type and various imitation drones coming from Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk (RF), and Gvardeyskoye (temporarily occupied Crimea), along with eight high-speed drones from the Bryansk region.
Air defense efforts were supported by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces.
As of 9:00 AM on Saturday, August 2, preliminary data indicates that air defense shot down or suppressed 45 aerial targets: eight reactive drones and 37 Shahed type drones as well as imitation drones across the north, south, east, and center of Ukraine.
Strikes from eight drones were recorded in five locations, along with falling debris in two locations.
