Air Defense Forces Down 198 Drones Amid Ongoing Attacks

The air defense forces achieved a significant success by downing 198 out of 400 Russian drones.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, this occurred during the latest attacks.

On the evening of July 15, Russian troops launched a ballistic missile "Iskander-M" from Crimea, along with 400 Shahed-type drones from various directions, including Shatalovo, Bryansk, Kursk, and others.

The main targets were Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv, and Vinnytsia.

The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, and electronic warfare units.

As of 08:30 on July 16, the air defense had shot down 198 drones across different regions of the country.

Additionally, 145 imitation drones were reported as neutralized.

There were recorded hits from a missile and 57 drones at 12 locations, with debris falling in two areas.

Furthermore, as reported by Ukrinform, Kryvyi Rih was struck by a ballistic missile and 28 drones; a 17-year-old boy was injured, an industrial facility was destroyed, and part of the city lost power.

In Vinnytsia, following the overnight drone attack, eight individuals were hospitalized.
