Railway Situation in Kyiv Following Attacks

image

As a result of shelling, Kyiv's railway infrastructure has suffered significant damage.

This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.

Passenger trains heading west are currently taking an alternative route via Vysneve and Darnytsia, causing delays of up to two hours.

Kyiv City Express is currently operating only on the northern semicircle route from Sviatoshyn to Pochaivna and Darnytsia (in both directions). Due to overlap with passenger trains, there may be deviations from the schedule.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are quickly repairing the damage; reserve locomotives will transport trains within the capital once the Sviatoshyn - Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi section is operational again.

Update at 07:30:

Restoration work on the tracks in the capital is ongoing, and power has been partially restored; trains on the Fastiv direction are now running on their regular schedule. Trains on the northwestern (Sviatoshyn) direction are currently operating with reserve locomotives. Korosten direction trains will run via Pochaivna and Darnytsia — an additional stop will be available on the left bank for transfers to Kyiv City Express. The latter operates regular services on the northern semicircle from Darnytsia to Rusanyivka to Livoberezhna to Voskresenka to Pochaivna to Syrets to Sviatoshyn.

Train departures from Kyiv are currently delayed; we apologize to passengers and are closely monitoring each service. So far, train №705 from Kyiv to Przemyśl has departed with a delay of +1:28, train №1/123 from Kharkiv to Ivano-Frankivsk, Vorokhta is delayed by +4:40, and train №21/103 from Kramatorsk, Kharkiv to Lviv is delayed by +4:36.
