The passenger train No. 52 traveling from Odesa to Zaporizhzhia was severely damaged due to a Russian strike in Dnipro on June 24, resulting in injuries among passengers.
This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia via Telegram.
"As a result of the Russian aggression against Dnipropetrovsk region, train No. 52 Odesa – Zaporizhzhia was damaged. Rescuers and ambulances promptly arrived at the scene. Passengers were moved to shelters due to the ongoing air raid alert in the region." – stated Ukrzaliznytsia.
Ukrzaliznytsia is preparing a replacement rolling stock near Dnipro to transfer passengers to Zaporizhzhia.
Updated: Later, it was confirmed by UZ that a Russian missile struck near the train. Fortunately, there were no fatalities, but there are injuries among the passengers. Medical assistance is currently being provided.
"To transport passengers to Zaporizhzhia, Ukrzaliznytsia has scheduled an additional electric train that will depart from Dnipro approximately at 1:00 PM. Please follow for updates," – UZ reported.
