Ukraine's Response to Russian Aggression: President Zelensky's Statement

image

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine commented on the recent aggressive actions taken by Russia against Ukraine.

Regular reports from Interior Minister Klymenko and military commanders regarding the aftermath of the massive attacks. Over 440 drones and 32 missiles were launched. It was one of the most devastating strikes on the capital. Additionally, attacks were recorded in Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv throughout the night.

In Kyiv, rescuers are working to extract people from the debris of a destroyed residential building. The exact number of casualties is still unclear. Russian forces have demolished an entire entrance. In total, buildings in eight districts of the capital have been damaged. Efforts are ongoing in Odesa, where rescuers are present at all strike locations. All victims are receiving necessary assistance. As of 09:20, there are reports of 75 injured and 15 dead. My condolences go out to the families of the deceased.

Such attacks are pure terrorism. The entire world, including the USA and Europe, must respond appropriately, as civilized societies do to terrorist actions.

Putin continues this war simply because he feels he can. He desires further conflict. It is troubling when world leaders turn a blind eye to this. We are in contact with all partners at every level to ensure an adequate response. It is the terrorists who should feel pain, not innocent civilians.
