Tragedy in Kalynivske: Explosion Claims Life of Child

In the village of Kalynivske in the Kherson region, an explosion of munitions occurred in a private household, resulting in the death of an 8-year-old boy. Two other children and three adults were injured.

Source: Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson regional military administration, reported the incident on Telegram.

Direct quote: "In Kalynivske of the Berislav district, there was an explosion of an unknown object in a private home. Unfortunately, due to the careless handling of munitions by adults, an 8-year-old boy lost his life.

Two women were also injured: a 36-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction, while a 37-year-old woman sustained severe injuries including a traumatic brain injury and multiple shrapnel wounds. All the injured individuals were hospitalized for medical assistance."

Additionally, Prokudin reported about three more individuals affected due to the careless handling of munitions.

Two children, an 8-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, were hospitalized with mine-explosive injuries in moderately severe condition.

A man born in 1989 was also hospitalized with a diagnosis of mine-explosive injury. Medical staff are conducting further examinations.
