Tragedy in Kyiv: Consequences of Enemy Attack

Following an enemy attack on Kyiv during the night of May 7, 2 individuals lost their lives, and 8 were injured, including 4 children.

Quoted from SES: "Rescuers were active in the Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Dniprovskyi districts."

Details: In the Sviatoshynskyi district, debris struck a 9-story residential building, causing fires in apartments on the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th floors. The fire was extinguished over an area of 100 square meters.

Quoted from SES: "5 people were rescued – 1 adult and 4 children (3 children with burns were hospitalized). Rescue operations are ongoing."

Details: In the Solomianskyi district, drone debris fell onto open land.

In the Dniprovskyi district, a drone crashed into a multi-story residential building, resulting in partial structural damage on the 29th and 30th floors.

According to rescuers, there were no fires or injuries.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, drone debris fell onto a 5-story residential building, leading to fires in apartments on the 3rd and 5th floors.

Nearby is the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.

Updated: Later, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that the number of injured in the capital has risen to 8.

"One more woman has been hospitalized. Previously, three children were hospitalized. Thus, currently, four injured individuals have been admitted to hospitals. Four others received on-site medical assistance. Two residents of the capital died as a result of the enemy attack," – the mayor summarized.
