They were scattered across many regions of Russia, held in prisons with the intent of cruelty and destruction of humanity.
According to the Coordination Headquarters, among the released soldiers are representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the Navy, Air Forces, Assault Troops, Territorial Defense Forces, as well as the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service.
Among the released are three officers and 202 soldiers and sergeants.
The liberated defenders fought for Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk areas, as well as in Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy, and Kyiv, including defenders from the Mariupol garrison.
This exchange, which took place on May 6, is the fifth this year and the 64th since the full-scale invasion began. Overall, since March 2022, the Coordination Headquarters has freed 4,757 Ukrainian citizens through negotiations and exchanges.
