Dujarric remarked: "Our position remains unchanged: we want to see an end to the war… It must be principled and consistent, firmly grounded in the UN charter, international law, and all relevant resolutions".
He emphasized that peace must be sustainable and recognize Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Dujarric also added that the UN values any efforts aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine that align with the "position I have expressed many, many, many times".
When asked about the involvement of North Korean troops in the Russian war against Ukraine, acknowledged by both Russia and North Korea, the spokesperson replied succinctly: "I think any internationalization of any conflict is the wrong direction".
