The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, invited U.S. President Donald Trump to visit Ukraine before making any decisions regarding peace negotiations.

Zelensky expressed his willingness to welcome Trump to Ukraine so he could "see the reality of the situation".

Quote from Zelensky: "We respect your position.

However, before making any decisions or plans regarding negotiations, please come and see the people, the civilians, the soldiers, the hospitals, the churches, the children who have been affected or lost".

"Come, take a look, and then we can discuss how to end the war. You will understand who you are dealing with. You will realize what Putin has done".

As a reminder: Zelensky emphasized that the international community is not applying enough pressure on Russia, which is why it "is not afraid" to attack Ukrainian cities.

Trump stated on Saturday that he believes negotiations for peace in Ukraine are going well, but "there comes a moment when you either have to act or be quiet".
