Over the past year, large landowners in Ukraine have reduced their land holdings by 8225.4 hectares.
This is confirmed by a study conducted by the organization "Opendatabot".
The number of companies owning more than 100 hectares of land has decreased from 283 to 217. Among them, 34 companies are registered in temporarily occupied territories.
The largest land holdings belong to the agricultural company Svitank with over 5000 hectares and Druzhkivka Ore Management with 3300 hectares. The third place is held by the company Zernyatko-Pivden with 2700 hectares.
Since January 2024, the land market has become accessible to businesses, but instead of the expected demand, companies have started selling their assets. A total of 2554 land plots have been sold.
According to data, Ukrainian companies sold 1283 hectares in nearly three months after the market opened to legal entities. It turned out that businesses began predominantly selling land.
As of July 2024, three years after the market opened, 567,000 hectares have been sold, with the highest demand in the Poltava region.
