On April 1st, Annalena Berbock, Germany's departing foreign minister, made her 11th visit to Ukraine, likely her last in office.
This was reported by the German Foreign Ministry, as noted by "European Truth".
At the train station, she was welcomed by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga and the German ambassador to Kyiv, Martin Jaeger.
Upon her arrival, Berbock announced that Germany would provide an additional 130 million euros in humanitarian aid and stabilization measures, according to the Foreign Ministry.
"Given the deadlock in U.S.-Russia relations, it’s crucial that we show our unwavering support for Ukraine now more than ever," commented the head of German diplomacy.
In Kyiv, Berbock will meet with politicians and civil society representatives, as stated by the Foreign Ministry. They will also discuss Ukraine's steps towards EU membership.
At the end of March, Berbock announced that Germany would soon provide new batches of weapons to Ukraine to defend against further Russian attacks.
Previously, she welcomed the decision of the Bundestag's budget committee to allocate an additional 3 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine for 2025.
