image

To rent a one-bedroom apartment in Kyiv, a sales consultant needs to spend 76% of their salary, while a driver allocates 52%.

This information comes from a study conducted by LUN and Work.ua.

If a driver wishes to rent a two-bedroom apartment, their expenses would rise to over 72% of their monthly income, and for a sales consultant, it would be 105%.

Moreover, a driver cannot afford to rent a three-bedroom apartment in the capital, as the rental costs would amount to 123% of their salary.

A cleaner in Kyiv cannot even afford a one-bedroom apartment, as their salary is only 112% of the average rental cost.

In Lviv, the situation is even worse for sales consultants—the cost of renting a one-bedroom apartment is 83% of their income. Conversely, in Odesa, the situation is significantly better, requiring only 41% of their salary to rent a one-bedroom place.

On January 29, a new support mechanism for internally displaced persons was launched in Ukraine—housing rental subsidies.
