The prominent mining group Ferrexpo has announced a temporary halt of its operations in Ukraine owing to significant energy supply issues. This decision comes in response to recent attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure.
In the company's press release, it was emphasized that the instability in electricity supply compelled management to take decisive actions.
"Until a stable energy supply in the required volumes is ensured, we have decided to temporarily suspend operations and place some staff on leave," the announcement stated.
Additionally, it was clarified that no employees of the group were harmed.
It is worth noting that in November, Ferrexpo had already suspended production at its Yeristivskyi and Poltavskyi beneficiation plants due to energy sector attacks.
