On the eve of Christmas, a significant event took place at the St. Sophia Cathedral, which celebrated its millennium, aimed at uplifting spirits and fostering hope.
The special cancellation ceremony featured participation from Ihor Smilianskyi, CEO of JSC «Ukrposhta», His Beatitude Epiphanius, Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine, Head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, as well as the Director General of the National Preserve «St. Sophia of Kyiv» and artist Anton Lohov, the creator of the new postal release.
The stamp «Christmas Angel» symbolizes Christmas that unites us. It speaks of an unwavering faith and kindness that we pass on, even through a small envelope.
«May this angelic message bring a ray of hope to your festive letters», — expressed the wishes for the bright holiday at St. Sophia Cathedral.
His Beatitude Epiphanius and Nelya Kukovalska announced the next special cancellation to be held at the 12th-century Cyril Church.
