On December 4, a charity auction was held at the Boris Grinchenko Kyiv University, dedicated to the Armed Forces Day of Ukraine. The event showcased unique handmade items created by students and faculty: paintings, photographs, books, author dolls, and wooden crafts.
Everyone had the opportunity to purchase a favorite item and contribute to the support of Ukrainian defenders. Representatives from various university departments participated in the event, raising a total of 103,015 UAH.
Acting Rector Oleksandr Turuntsev thanked the participants for their involvement and emphasized the importance of supporting the military.
"We are sincerely grateful to all defenders of Ukraine for their strength and courage. You have allowed us to live in peace, and we will do everything to support you," he stated.
During the event, awards were presented for "Service to Humanity and Society" to three students who balance their studies with military service.
David Vegera, a first-year student of the Physical Therapy program, received an award for his service in the National Guard. Dmytro Lemskiy, a first-year student of Physical Education, was recognized for his volunteer service in the Armed Forces from day one of the full-scale invasion. Dmytro Hryhor-Zhvaniya, a first-year student in Management, defended Kyiv and participated in combat operations.
