In the Prykarpattia region, near Galych, a passenger bus was involved in a traffic accident on the «Mukachevo-Lviv» road. One person lost their life, and eight others were injured.
This was reported by the Police of Ivano-Frankivsk region.

«On November 17, around 7 AM, the police received a report of an accident with casualties near Galych. The collision occurred on the N-09 «Mukachevo-Lviv» road involving a «Mercedes Sprinter» and a «Volkswagen Tiguan». As a result of the accident, a 67-year-old passenger of the bus died at the scene, while approximately eight individuals sustained injuries of varying severity,» the police stated.
According to their information, the injured were hospitalized.
It is noted that the driver of the car was a 64-year-old resident of the Kolomyia district, heading towards Burshtyn.
«The man veered into the oncoming lane, causing a collision with a vehicle driven by a 52-year-old resident of the Bolekhiv community,» the police clarified.
Authorities are investigating all circumstances of the accident at the scene.
