About 8,000 Hasidim have arrived in Uman for the Rosh Hashanah celebration. The United Jewish Community of Ukraine reported this via Telegram.
Many pilgrims are still making their way to Uman from various countries to visit Rabbi Nachman's grave, as noted by the UJCU.
This week, enhanced security measures have been implemented in the pilgrimage area, with checkpoints set up where each pilgrim undergoes screening.
As a reminder, this year Rosh Hashanah is celebrated from the evening of September 22 to the evening of September 24.
Last year, according to community data, 33,500 Breslov Hasidim visited Uman for the holiday.
This year, around 35,000 pilgrims are expected in Uman.
