IAEA Confirms No Radiation Threat from Zaporizhzhia Fire

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported that the fire on July 12 near the cooling towers of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) did not affect radiation levels and poses no threat to nuclear safety.

This was announced by the IAEA press service.

It is noted that IAEA personnel observed the fire from the administrative building of the facility.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi confirmed that there was no increase in radiation levels during the incident, nuclear safety is not at risk, and no injuries were reported.
