In the village of Kobaky, located in the Kosiv district of Ivano-Frankivsk region, an unfortunate incident took place when a man shot at a car that had a 12-year-old boy inside. The child sustained a shoulder injury.

This was reported by the police of Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The report states that a local resident called the emergency line 102, informing them that an unknown person shot at his Renault Kangoo. A bullet from an air gun shattered the rear window and injured his 12-year-old son. The boy was hospitalized, but his life is not in danger.

A investigative team was dispatched to the scene.

Authorities determined that the shot was fired from an air pistol. During operational measures, police identified the perpetrator as a 57-year-old resident of the same village.

During a search of the offender's residence, police discovered and seized two air pistols. The man refused to undergo a sobriety test.

A criminal proceeding has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for hooliganism with the use of weapons. Expert examinations have been appointed, and a preliminary investigation is ongoing.
