The President of Ukraine's Fund Council has approved a new program aimed at involving renowned public figures and educators from top foreign universities to teach students in Ukraine.

While foreign lecturers have previously conducted classes in Ukraine, this initiative will significantly broaden the scope of collaboration and enhance partnerships not only with private but also with state higher education institutions. They will be able to invite speakers from 250 of the world's best universities, including MIT, Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, and Columbia University.

Foreign educators will not only deliver online lectures but will also teach students directly in Ukraine for a period of three to nine months.

“Involving foreign lecturers in Ukrainian higher education institutions will enhance the quality of education and ultimately help bring back more students who left for abroad due to the war,” emphasized Olena Koval'ska, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Collaboration with foreign universities will also help improve the rankings of Ukrainian higher education institutions in international standings.

“This is not just about exchanging experiences – it's about trust in the potential of our education system and creating real opportunities within the country even amid war. The competition for talent is happening not only in Ukraine but worldwide. It is important for us that Ukraine holds convincing positions in the global academic dialogue,” highlighted Olga Budnyk, Advisor to the President of Ukraine on matters related to the Fund for Education, Science, and Sports.

The selection of lecturers will occur online through an electronic system, where applications will be evaluated by experts. A ranking will be formed based on all assessments according to clearly defined criteria.

The announcement of the competition will take place after the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approves the relevant resolution.
