The military personnel of the Ukrainian Navy are actively defending both at sea and on land, safeguarding the airspace and doing everything necessary for Ukraine's security.

This was noted by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Facebook in honor of the Day of the Ukrainian Naval Forces.

Together with all Defense Forces, the Navy has proven that Ukraine is capable of defending its interests.

“There has never been and will never be a Russian landing in Odessa, the “Moscow” has sunk, Snake Island is under Ukrainian control, and 28 Russian ships and one submarine have been destroyed or damaged, while the “grain corridor” continues to operate and supports global food security,” emphasized Zelensky as he congratulated the Navy on their special day.

The Day of the Ukrainian Naval Forces has been celebrated since 2015 on the first Sunday of July, according to a decree by the President of Ukraine dated June 12, 2015.
