A fundraiser was held for the rehabilitation of injured veterans.
Last weekend, the Respublika Park shopping center hosted the festival «Life Triumphs Over All», dedicated to the reintegration of veterans into civilian life.
Visitors had the chance to attend expert lectures, art therapy workshops, meditation, and gardening therapy. Canine therapy gained particular attention — a practice involving trained dogs that aids in emotional stabilization and rebuilding trust in social interactions.
«Our shopping center serves as a platform for initiatives with real social impact, — emphasized Julia Shchastliva, CEO of Respublika Park. — We recognize the value of supporting projects that assist veterans in adapting to peaceful life».
A charity dog run featuring corgis was also part of the program, organized by the Holy Doggy team, to highlight the importance of the human-animal bond.
«As volunteers, we put in maximum effort to help Ukraine’s defenders reintegrate into social life. It’s crucial they feel they are not alone with their struggles and pain. The most important thing they need now is support and communication», — noted Kateryna Shershnova, festival organizer and founder of the Holy Doggy project.
The event also had a significant charitable goal — fundraising for implants for veterans and rehabilitation equipment for those affected by combat operations.
The evening part of the festival included a charity auction and a concert featuring Ukrainian performers — Ivana Liulenova and Alisa.
This was the second festival «Life Triumphs Over All». The first event took place on August 11, 2024. According to the organizers, this year’s event attracted over 5000 veterans and attendees.
It’s worth noting that Holy Doggy is a project created by the event agency Holy Sweets, the IRC «Base 4.5.0», and the German manufacturer of super-premium pet food Josera, which passionately supports initiatives for developing pet-friendly culture in Ukraine and has promoted canine therapy for three years.
