The Droid NW 40 autonomous system, developed by the Ukrainian company DevDroid, has successfully completed the certification process according to the requirements of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This was confirmed by the company.

DevDroid representatives stated that this paves the way for its official supply and use for the needs of Ukraine's security and defense forces.

"Droid NW 40 is an innovative reconnaissance-strike ground robotic system, adapted to operate with automatic grenade launchers Mk-19 or AGL-53 of 40 mm caliber (the Ukrainian equivalent of Mk-19), designed to perform complex and dangerous combat missions without personnel presence in the frontline area," the developers explained.
The ground drone provides effective targeting of lightly armored vehicles and personnel at a range of up to 1.5 km. It also supports 6 types of communication, including Starlink, LTE, and Mesh. Other technical specifications of the Droid NW 40 include a continuous operation time of up to 12 hours.

"Our goal is to save lives through technology. The certification of the Droid NW 40 shows that we are moving in the right direction and confirms that Ukrainian high-tech developments meet high standards of quality and operational readiness. DevDroid continues to work on expanding its range of remotely controlled systems aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing risks to military personnel's lives," emphasized DevDroid CEO Yuriy Poritsky.
Recently, DevDroid also created a universal modular control system for ground drones – the Droid Box, which significantly simplifies and accelerates the development process for robotic system manufacturers.

In the summer, DevDroid, in collaboration with the robotic system manufacturer "Snail," introduced a new reconnaissance-strike system named Droid Raw 12.7.
