ChatGPT Voice Mode Update: Enhanced User Experience

image

ChatGPT has undergone a significant update to its voice mode, which now operates without a separate interface. OpenAI has seamlessly integrated voice features directly into the main chat, making interaction with the chatbot more natural and user-friendly.
Previously, activating the voice mode required users to navigate to a dedicated page featuring an animated interface. In that separate mode, the chatbot’s responses were only audible, with no text displayed on the screen. If a response was missed, users had to switch back to text mode to read it.
Now, everything has changed. During voice conversations, responses are displayed simultaneously on the screen: text, images, maps, and other elements appear in real-time. Users can also view previous messages, enhancing the logical flow of conversation.
Switching between voice and text input has become easier, simply by pressing the "End" button to return to the standard input mode.
The new voice mode is set as the default and is being gradually rolled out across the web and mobile applications of ChatGPT.
Users who prefer the old separate interface can still access it by enabling the "Separate mode" option in settings.
