The Israel-American startup Wiz, specializing in cloud security, is broadening its presence in Ukraine. According to Forbes Ukraine, the company Softico, which focuses on information security and IT distribution, has become the official representative of Wiz in the country.
Wiz is one of the frontrunners in the Cloud Native Application Protection Platform sector, offering solutions that enable businesses to manage their cloud security without the need for large DevSecOps teams.
Unlike traditional systems, Wiz operates without agents and complex integrations, providing visibility into risks and relationships between users and assets. The platform supports AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes, complies with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR standards, and easily integrates with CI/CD processes.
Andy Ritchie, head of WW Partners at Wiz, stated that their goal is to help businesses safely adopt cloud technologies and artificial intelligence. "The cloud and AI unlock incredible potential for innovation. Wiz allows organizations to harness these technologies without added risks," he emphasized.
Softico, representing Wiz in Ukraine, will handle localization, consulting, and customer support for those transitioning to cloud security. Alexander Butusov, Head of Information Security at Softico, pointed out that there is growing interest in CNAPP solutions in Ukraine that combine scalability with ease of implementation.
Note: Wiz is among the fastest-growing startups in the world due to high demand for its services during the ongoing shift of businesses to the cloud. According to recent data, nearly half of the world's top 100 companies, including BMW, Salesforce, Morgan Stanley, Shell, eBay, and AstraZeneca, utilize Wiz's services. The company's revenue reached $500 million in 2024, with co-founder Roy Reznik aiming to double that figure by 2025.
Since the onset of the full-scale war, Ukrainian businesses have been rapidly transitioning to cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. According to IT Ukraine Association, the cloud security market in Ukraine has tripled during this period and could grow an additional 226% by 2029, reaching $3.78 million. The most active adopters of cloud solutions are companies in fintech, retail, and the public sector.
It is noteworthy that in March 2025, Google announced its largest acquisition, signing a deal to purchase Wiz for $32 billion, after which Wiz will become part of Google Cloud. This deal has successfully passed scrutiny from the US antitrust authorities, and Google stated that the approval process continues in other countries, with the operation expected to conclude in 2026.
