YouTube has launched an exciting feature that showcases a short animation after pressing the "like" button on select videos. This update was introduced in the October platform refresh aimed at improving the interface and user engagement, as reported by The Verge.
Currently, there are 20 different animations that change based on the video's theme. For instance, in motorsport videos, the button transforms into a smoky tire, while in educational videos, it appears as a glowing light bulb. Variants are also available for sports, travel videos, and animal content.
Designer Andreas Storm compiled all the effects into two brief clips on platform X, but so far, YouTube hasn't added animations for children's videos.
Additionally, YouTube is also adding a Super Resolution feature for TVs, which will enhance video quality using artificial intelligence.
