Google has denied claims regarding a serious security issue with Gmail, emphasizing that it has not sent any mass warnings to users of the service.
This relates to a phishing incident involving Salesforce, which Google first reported in June, and on August 8 confirmed that all affected users had been notified.
"We want to assure our users that Gmail protection is robust and effective," the company stated.
Google clarified that its protective measures block over 99.9% of phishing attempts and malicious attacks. The company also recommends using secure alternatives to passwords, such as passkeys, to maximize account security.
