The Ukrainian company TENETA has unveiled a new innovative tool for combating enemy drones — the one-time use net launcher MITLA 1. Its primary purpose is to neutralize FPV drones and reconnaissance quadcopters by ensnaring their rotors with a specialized net.
Weighing in at 365 grams, MITLA boasts compact dimensions of 200 mm in length and 40 mm in diameter, making it easy to store in military gear. To use, simply pull the safety pin, aim, and press the dedicated button. The net, measuring 3.5×3.5 meters, automatically deploys within 0.2 seconds of launch, effectively obstructing the drone's movement.
MITLA operates reliably under various temperature conditions — both in heat and cold. The maximum effective shooting range is up to 25 meters. Due to the use of a powerful 7.62 mm caliber blank cartridge, the device produces significant recoil, hence it is recommended to hold it with both hands.
MITLA is positioned as an affordable solution for rapid response to aerial threats, particularly relevant in positional combat scenarios.
