The Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted a nationwide survey that included questions about the use of innovative technologies, particularly artificial intelligence. A total of 1029 respondents aged 18 and older participated, revealing that 64% had never interacted with artificial intelligence.
Of these, 9% attempted to use AI but found no application in their daily lives. Only 26% of respondents have practical experience, with 9% using it a few times a month or less, 12% using it daily or almost daily, and 5% a few times a month.
Young people aged 18 to 29 are the most frequent users of artificial intelligence, making up 54% of users. Only 4% of respondents over 60 use AI.
Urban residents are more actively utilizing artificial intelligence compared to rural inhabitants. Among the urban population, the regular usage rate is 21%, while among rural residents, it is just 9%.
There is also a significant disparity in the wealth levels of individuals who use artificial intelligence. The better the financial situation of the respondents, the more they are inclined to adopt new technologies.
Regarding the impact of artificial intelligence on society, nearly half of the respondents believe that these technologies carry many risks and could lead to serious problems. 39% think that AI contributes to progress and brings humanity closer to a better future. 16% were undecided.
