Google Alters Search Domain Strategy

Google has announced that it will no longer utilize country-code top-level domains for its search services; instead, all searches will be conducted via google.com.

URLs ending with country-specific domains will now redirect to the main address.

Since 2017, Google has been using location data to automatically tailor search results based on user location. With this change, it doesn’t matter if you enter a query through a country code URL or google.com—you will always receive results relevant to your actual location.

The company emphasizes that this alteration will not affect search results and will not breach any legal obligations across different countries.
