Ukrainian snooker player Julian Boyko kicked off his journey in the World Championship qualifiers with an impressive win over Andrew Padgett.

The match ended with a score of 10:2, with the Ukrainian executing two century breaks (129 and 128 points).

In the next round, Boyko will face Englishman Louis Heathcoat. The qualifiers will take place from April 7 to 16 at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield. To advance to the last 16 of the World Championship, Julian needs to defeat three more opponents.

In another qualifying match, Anton Kazakov lost to Jimmy White 10:9 in a 19-frame encounter. After leading 7:3, the Ukrainian lost his advantage and succumbed in the final frame.

It’s worth noting that just prior, Julian Boyko claimed gold at the U-21 European Championship.
