Kryvbas Triumphs Over Capitals in Playoff Match

The second playoff match of the Ukrainian hockey championship took place, where Kryvbas stunned Kyiv Capitals on their home ice.

The match ended with a score of 1:4 in favor of the visitors.

After a scoreless first period, both teams truly engaged in the second 20 minutes. The guests took the lead after a faceoff in the opponent's zone, with the puck reaching Artem Tselogorodtsev, who managed to beat the Capitals' goalie (0:1).

Capitals quickly equalized. 41-year-old Sergey Chernienko was first to the rebound of a puck that got stuck on Kryvbas' crease (1:1).

Midway through the third period, Tselogorodtsev scored his second goal. The 23-year-old forward received the puck in the opponent's zone, drove to the net, and delivered a powerful shot from a sharp angle (1:2). A few minutes later, Bohdan Piddubny doubled the lead with a long shot that the Capitals' goalie failed to see (1:3).

The final score of the match was set by Kryvbas goalie Eduard Zakharchenko, who hit the empty net from his own half of the rink.
