The Ministry of Youth and Sports has received a new draft of rules from the Federation of Military Technology Sports and is currently reviewing their approval.
This was announced by Vitaliy Lavrov, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, during a press conference held at the news agency «Ukrinform».
Vitaliy Lavrov emphasized that the newly developed rules clearly outline the requirements and conditions for competitions in areas such as FPV drone racing with combat payloads and cyber competitions (CTF).
According to the Deputy Minister, the approval of these competition rules will create conditions to enhance training and preparation in military technology sports, which will also elevate the skills of service members.
The event also featured the president of the Federation of Military Technology Sports of Ukraine, Arthur Buligin, the head of the All-Ukrainian Union of Defenders of Ukraine, Serhiy Byzov, and Lieutenant General Yuriy Dumansky.
Participants discussed the importance of the official recognition of military technology sports in Ukraine and its role in fostering military-patriotic education and prospects for development in collaboration with unions and government institutions.
Additionally, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Federation of Military Technology Sports of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Union of Defenders of Ukraine during the press conference.
Vitaliy Lavrov supported the initiative of signing the memorandum, stressing that such cooperation opens new opportunities for engaging veterans in military technology sports.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has officially recognized military technology sports as a new non-Olympic sport. The corresponding order from the Ministry dated February 24, 2025, No. 1105 includes it in the Register of Recognized Sports.
