On November 15, Kyiv transformed into a battleground of strength and honor with the MEMORY CUP 2025, dedicated to the 'Angels of Sport.' This open kyokushin karate tournament brought together 270 competitors from various Ukrainian cities, battling in the spirit of remembrance and valor.
Athletes from Poltava, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Brovary, Obukhiv, Irpin, and other cities delivered impressive performances, each striving not only for victory but also to pay tribute to the heroes.
Kyokushin karate, known for its intensity, trains not just physical stamina but also spiritual resilience. Established in the mid-20th century, this style cultivates strong personalities ready to face life's challenges.
The MEMORY CUP 2025 gala evening welcomed distinguished guests, including war veteran Oleksandr Teren and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Oleksii Nikitenko.
Spectators enjoyed demonstration performances by kyokushin masters, along with musical acts by Oleksandr Surov and energetic rap from the Blackfish project.
This event also served a charitable purpose, with ticket sales funding the creation of an inclusive veteran space, M13 GYM, raising 100,000 UAH in total.
The Kyiv City Kyokushin Karate Federation, the Department of Youth and Sports of Kyiv, and the Sports Committee of Ukraine organized the event, with Roman Kryvytskyi as the head of the organizing committee.
