Yuriy Kuleshkov, a 70-year-old professor at the Central Ukrainian National Technical University, claimed a silver medal at the Judo Super Cup in Spain for veterans.
He competed in the M9 category (ages 70–74) and the weight division up to 73 kg, becoming one of the oldest participants in the event.
Despite facing tough competition from over a hundred competitors, the Ukrainian confidently reached the finals and secured the silver medal.
His achievement demonstrates that passion for sports and strength of spirit have no age limits.
