From November 15 to 26, 2025, 177 Ukrainian athletes with hearing disabilities will compete for medals at the Deaflympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Our athletes will participate in 17 out of 21 sports, including badminton, basketball (men/women), freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, bowling, volleyball, cycling, judo, karate, shooting, athletics, swimming, beach volleyball, orienteering, tennis, table tennis, and football.
This will be the ninth summer Deaflympics for our national team. Ukrainians have topped the overall medal table twice in the Deaflympics — in 2005 and 2021.
Over the course of eight previous Deaflympics, Ukrainian athletes with hearing impairments have won 512 medals: 165 gold, 176 silver, and 171 bronze.
